This School Bus Goes 590km/h On Fiery Rocket Power
Aug 7th
What happens when you strap the jet engine from a Phantom fighter plane to the back of a yellow school bus? The awesomest fire-propelled death ride around. And yes, there is a video.
This work of brilliance and terror comes from the mind and shop of Paul Stender, whose Indy Boys Inc team constructed the entire vehicle (a standard issue bus wouldn’t have withstood the rocket) from scratch. But why, Paul? Why’d you do it?
Mr Stender, 43, said: “I built the bus for two reasons. The first is to entertain people because, come on, it’s a jet bus. The second, is More >

Emmerdale shoves jam rags in innocent kiddies’ faces
Jul 28th
The Daily Mail has worked itself up into a right tizz over last Friday’s episode of ITV1 soap Emmerdale, in which a chalked shopping list was seen to contain the items “jam rags” and “pile cream”.
PA explains that the outrage was “visible during Friday’s episode as a drunk Shadrach Dingle stumbled into his nephew Marlon’s kitchen”.
Vivienne Pattison, director of campaigning group Mediawatch, was on hand to fulminate: “I think it’s vulgar and inappropriate. ‘Pile cream’ I can deal with. It was the use of ‘jam rag’ that got me. I can’t imagine a woman writing that. It’s really vulgar and unnecessary.”

Twitterrific 3 isn’t that good.
Jun 25th
Today I downloaded Twitterrific 3 for iPhone and was left very disappointed. It is clearly a step backward, gone are easy to get to filters for replies, DM’s, favourites and my own tweets. Also gone is the ability to mark tweets within the app. Resizing for easy viewing is gone as is multiple account support on the ad-supported version. Whilst list support has appeared, popular things that are missing include: ability to add personal bit.ly api, ability to geo-tag tweets.
I had a short conversation with someone from the @Twitterrific twitter account, here it is.
Luckily @Twitterrific made this a new download More >
